Oklahoma
Medical Research Foundation
Faculty
Positions in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology
In
a new era of growth the Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology Program at
the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is recruiting for two new faculty
positions in the coming year. OMRF is a private nonprofit research institute
that provides state-of-the-art core facilities, and a relaxed, interactive, yet
rigorous research environment. We seek scientists in the early or mid stages of
their careers, but talented candidates at all levels will be considered.
Candidates must have completed postdoctoral training and be prepared to develop
a vigorous, independent research program in an area of basic biological
science. Researchers who apply modern genetic, cell biological, developmental,
and translational approaches in model organisms, and those who utilize advanced
microscopy techniques are of particular interest. Those whose research
interests and objectives might complement current research programs at OMRF are
encouraged to apply. Investigators at OMRF enjoy close scientific interactions
and opportunities for mentoring graduate students at the adjacent University of
Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Successful candidates will receive modern
laboratory facilities for their use, a generous multi-year start-up package,
continuous salary support, and access to our outstanding core facilities. For
information about our program, go to www.OMRF.org/mcdb
Applications should be sent by email to Ms. Adrienne Gidley at Adrienne-Gidley@omrf.ouhsc.edu Preliminary,
confidential inquiries may be addressed to Dr. Gary J. Gorbsky at GJG@omrf.ouhsc.edu or Dr. Kenneth G. Miller at millerk@omrf.ouhsc.edu.

unusually supportive environment that includes generous start-up packages for
new faculty, strong funding for faculty salaries, outstanding core facilities,
responsive leadership, and continued commitment to the long-term needs of
individual researchers. Founded 60 years ago the Oklahoma Medical Research
Foundation has grown to become one of the leading private biomedical research
foundations in the U.S. Most members of OMRF hold adjunct positions within one
of the basic science departments at the adjacent University of Oklahoma Health
Science Center, providing opportunities for graduate teaching. Currently in an era of vibrant growth, the
Oklahoma City region provides a range of cultural, entertainment, and athletic
activities, excellent schools, and affordable housing.
