Lab Manager Position

Barr Laboratory, Rutgers University

A lab manager position is available with the Barr laboratory at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. The Barr lab studies neurogenetics and models several human genetic diseases. We seek a self-motivated, responsible, and organized individual who will serve as a lab manager for a group that typically consists of ten post-docs and graduate students. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining a laboratory that is relocating to Rutgers. Other duties include experimental assistance as determined by the PI, training and supervising designated lab personnel, budget and lab finances, and safety management programs. The start date is flexible, although we prefer a start by August 1, 2007.

Requirements include an undergraduate degree in biological sciences and 2-5 years of lab experience in molecular biology or C. elegans. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
