Full-time Research Technician Position, Dreier Lab, UCLA

 

Applications are invited for a full-time research technician position in the lab of Dr. Lars Dreier in the Department of Neurobiology at UCLA.  Our lab is using molecular, genetic and cell biological methods to study the formation and function of synapses in the genetic model organism C. elegans.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who will be working on a research project in collaboration with other members of the lab.  Originality in developing ideas for the experiments would be welcome.  Other duties include supervising undergraduate helpers who pour plates for C. elegans, take care of glassware etc.

 

Qualified applicants should have a B.A./B.S. degree in Biology or related field.   Prior experience with C. elegans would be great, but enthusiasm and motivation are more important.
