Postdoctoral position : neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis and treatment, Paris, France (Neri lab)

 

A 3-year postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Neri lab to investigate neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis and treatment. The research focus is on inherited forms of neurodegenerative diseases (notably Huntington’s disease). Research will be primarily based on C. elegans genetics, cultures of mouse neurons and human molecular genetics. It will benefit from the study on cell survival modulators as performed in the laboratory using C. elegans genetics and systems biology. An excellent background in molecular biology is required. Previous experience in C. elegans genetics mandatory. Previous experience in mammalian neurobiology and physiology will be a plus. A strong interest in neurodegenerative diseases is desirable. There is no restriction on the citizenship of applicants.
