A 3-year
postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Neri lab to investigate
neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis and treatment. The research focus is on
inherited forms of neurodegenerative diseases (notably Huntington’s disease).
Research will be primarily based on C. elegans
genetics, cultures of mouse neurons and human molecular genetics. It will
benefit from the study on cell survival modulators as performed in the
laboratory using C. elegans
genetics and systems biology. An excellent background in molecular biology is
required. Previous experience in C. elegans
genetics mandatory. Previous experience in mammalian neurobiology and physiology
will be a plus. A strong interest in neurodegenerative diseases is desirable.
There is no restriction on the citizenship of applicants.
