A 3-year
position is open in the Neri lab to investigate neuromuscular disease
pathogenesis and treatment. The research focus is on inherited forms of
muscular dystrophies. Research will be primarily based on the construction and
characterization of new models of disease protein cytotoxicity, and their use
to identify active compounds and their targets.
Research may also involve the use of mammalian cell models. A strong experience
in C. elegans genetics is
mandatory. An excellent background in molecular biology is required. A strong
interest in drug discovery is desirable. There is no restriction on the
citizenship of applicants. Applicants should hold a PhD.
