Research Technician, Piano Lab, Center for Genomics and Systems Biology, NYU.

 

A full time Research Technician Position is available at New York University’s Center for Genomics and Systems Biology to work on an exciting project mapping genetic interactions in C. elegans early embryogenesis.  Our lab, located in vibrant Greenwich Village, uses  functional genomics approaches to study development in C. elegans.

 

A degree in the Biological Sciences or related field is required.  Applicants must be highly motivated individuals, able to work in a group.   The most important skills are being organized, diligent, detail oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.  An understanding of the fundamental principles of genetics, molecular biology, and genomics is useful.

 

The successful applicant will mainly work alongside a post-doc and others on a large-scale genomics project that studies genetic interactions in embryonic development.  Previous research experience with C. elegans is a plus but not a requirement.
