POST-DOCTORAL STIPEND

Pilon Lab, Göteborg University, Sweden

A post-doctoral position is available immediately in the lab of Marc Pilon to study the developmental genetics of the pharynx and/or the developmental genetics of fat stores in C. elegans. It would be an advantage for the successful applicant to have experience in C. elegans genetics, microscopy and molecular biology. For an applicant to qualify, his/her Ph.D. exam must not be older than 2 years by the time that the position begins. The stipend is for one year, with a possible extension for a maximum of one more year.

Department

The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at Göteborg University houses about 20 research groups working on a variety of subjects ranging from marine biology to yeast stress resistance and mouse and C. elegans developmental genetics. Many other developmental geneticists are located in the neighboring Medical Genetics department, making Göteborg an interesting place to do a post-doc.
