Research Technician
This post will be based in the
newly-created School of Graduate-Entry Medicine (GEM) and Health, located in the
This post requires creativity and
initiative, the ability to work independently and as part of a team. As well as possessing good communication and
interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will prioritise the workload to
deal with a variety of requests and tasks.
Candidates should possess an HNC
in a relevant subject, together with proven experience, or significant work
experience, in a relevant role.
Preferred qualifications include a BSc in Biology or Physiology and past
experience with C. elegans,
dissecting signalling pathways, microscopy, molecular biology techniques and
biochemistry techniques.
It is a condition of this post
that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records
Bureau.
Salary will be within the range of
£19,841 - £23,692 per annum, pro rata, depending on qualifications and
experience (salary can progress to £28,290 per annum, subject to performance).
