The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Developmental Biology. Applicants must have a Ph.D., at least one year of relevant post-doctoral experience and an established record of high-quality research. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active externally-funded research program that uses a vertebrate or invertebrate system to address fundamental questions pertaining to our understanding of development. The successful candidate will also participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching. The Department of Biological Sciences (http://www.bio.ucalgary.ca) is a large and diverse department with excellent facilities and an emerging concentration of activity in developmental biology. The City of Calgary (pop. 1 million) has a lively cultural life, vibrant economy and many recreational opportunities. It is located less than an hour from the Rocky Mountains and Banff National Park.
